Porch Portraits 2022

Two years ago, my Hawthorne neighbors came out onto their porches to document their families during the pandemic.

2022 is a great time to document how we have emerged.

I am happy to announce a 2022 version of my Porch Portraits Project. This is a great way to document your family at this stage.

So much has changed in the last two years. Our children are growing so quickly – birthdays, graduations, and other milestones have come and gone. Not to mention, we weathered a historic pandemic. This is a good time to show how much we’ve changed and how much we’ve stayed the same.

How it Works

The project will work similar to the way we did in 2022. You sign up for your portrait package below, and then we schedule a time for you to step out and be photographed.

Not just from Hawthorne, for Hawthorne

A lot of photographers will tell you that they are from Hawthorne, and while I proudly count myself in that number, more importantly, I am for Hawthorne

Long before I ever asked for a sale in this community, I invested in it. My porch portraits 2020 campaign raised funds for our Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps to help them get some needed PPE in the early days of the pandemic.

Shortly after that, I volunteered to photograph and write stories about local businesses to help them get more business when everything was closing down. Since then, I have become a contributor to Hawthorne’s hyperlocal newspaper, TAPinto Hawthorne.

I also volunteer photography for the Boys and Girls Club of Hawthorne.

If you are ever at any town events, you are likely to see me, camera in hand. If you do, please say hi! I love meeting my neighbors!
